At Gambling Counselling, our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate, and confidential counselling to individuals and families affected by gambling harm. We recognise that gambling issues can impact every area of a person’s life with mental health, relationships, finances, and sense of self and we are here to walk alongside each client with empathy, professionalism, and respect.

Our team consists of qualified and empathetic counsellors dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the process of addressing gambling harm and fostering positive change. 

Tucker

MACA, MCOS, BA (Hons) | ACA Registered

 

​Tucker is a qualified and experienced counsellor who specialises in gambling harm, addiction, and co-occurring mental health challenges. He is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and draws on over a decade of experience in therapeutic and community settings.

​

What sets Tucker apart is his lived experience with problem gambling, which deeply informs his therapeutic practice. He understands the challenges of recovery, not just clinically, but personally and is committed to creating a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.

​

Working from a trauma-informed and person-centred framework, Tucker collaborates with clients to identify goals, build resilience, and develop practical tools for recovery. His sessions are grounded in compassion, clinical integrity, and the belief that everyone has the capacity for change.

Lisa

Registered Psychologist BSc, MSc, AHPRA, APS

With over 15 years’ experience supporting individuals to overcome addiction and improve their mental wellbeing. Holding a BSc in Psychology from Liverpool University and an MSc in Forensic Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University, Lisa brings both clinical expertise and a compassionate, person-centred approach to her work.

Lisa is skilled in a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and has worked across diverse client groups, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. She is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their concerns and build resilience.

Believing that clients are the experts in their own lives, Lisa works collaboratively to identify effective strategies for change, supporting each person to gain greater self-awareness and achieve meaningful, lasting outcomes.
